When a circus came to Harrodsburg, it arrived by train
and would make its way from the depot to Main Street and then on to the staging
area. This photograph shows the
Harrodsburg depot and a parade of elephants moving up Marimon Avenue. At the very rear of the line of elephants is
what looks like several camels. These
circuses moved by rail throughout the area and would stay for three to four
days at a time.
